Kaelu does not collect, store, or share any personal information. The app operates entirely on your device.
Your device location (latitude and longitude) is used solely to fetch weather data from the Open-Meteo API. This data is transmitted directly from your device to Open-Meteo's servers and is not stored by Kaelu.
You can set your location manually at any time. GPS is never accessed in the background.
Open-Meteo — provides weather, air quality, and historical climate data. Free, open-source, no account required. Their privacy policy: open-meteo.com/en/terms
Nominatim (OpenStreetMap) — used for reverse geocoding (converting GPS coordinates to a city name). No account required.
RainViewer — provides radar imagery. No personal data is transmitted.
App preferences (theme, units, widget settings, saved locations) are stored locally on your device only and are never transmitted to any server.
Kaelu contains no analytics, tracking, or advertising SDKs.
